Canada's S-VOX brings Christian content to the iPod generation with myGodPod

Unique podcasting service allows Christians to "dock and walk"

TORONTO, May 15, 2006 - The millions of Christians plugged into the online world now have a quick and easy new way to enjoy a wealth of daily devotional content: myGodPod, a unique faith-based podcasting service launched today by Canada's S-VOX.

Bill Roberts, President and CEO of Toronto-based S-VOX, said the subscription-based service will change the way Christians practice their daily spiritual development.

"The concept is 'dock and walk,'" said Mr. Roberts. "In the morning, you dock your iPod or other MP4-compatible player and download the content, which is refreshed daily. And then it goes with you as you walk through your day. We call it 'Devotions on the Go.'"

Users can sample the service on a free trial basis at www.myGodPod.com, and then sign up for a full subscription. Subscribers will receive up to 40 minutes of daily devotional readings, sermon segments, Bible readings and contemplative prayer exercises, as well as readings from Christian books and songs by Christian recording artists. They will also enjoy complete access to the myGodPod archives.

Suzanna Mandryk, Vice President, Communications and Marketing for S-VOX, said myGodPod offers great value for Christians seeking fresh and original devotional material to enrich the daily practice of their faith.

"Spiritual podcasts, or 'Godcasts,' are currently the fasting-growing form of programming worldwide in this emerging medium," Ms. Mandryk said. What sets myGodPod apart from other offerings is strong branding, well-produced content that is powerfully relevant to the audience, and the sheer convenience of being able to get everything you need for your daily devotion, in a customizable format, with a single mouse-click."

Ms. Mandryk said myGodPod also has the advantage of not being affiliated with any single ministry or faith organization. "This gives us the flexibility to select the best available content for our programs," she said.

S-VOX plans to market myGodPod aggressively to the international marketplace, using traditional media as well as online and community-based avenues. Said Ms. Mandryk: "We believe word of mouth will play an important role in myGodPod's success."

S-VOX has worked with Welland, Ont.-based Trillennium Media Group (www.trillenniummediagroup.com) on the development of content for myGodPod, and with PodChannels Inc. (www.podchannels.com) of Toronto, licensing their social media network platform.

S-VOX is a diversified multimedia enterprise that offers high-quality television and digital content for individuals seeking spiritual awareness and personal growth. S-VOX properties include: VisionTV, Canada's multi-faith and multicultural television broadcaster, along with the digital television services One: the Body, Mind & Spirit channel and The Christian Channel. Other ventures include: VisionTV International, a partnership with Toronto-based Ellis Entertainment that develops, produces and distributes original programming for the global marketplace, and Christian Media Sales, a product marketing and media buying company.
