Blue Fringe Releases Highly Anticipated Third Album "The Whole World Lit Up" December 2006

DECEMBER 4, 2006 (NEW YORK, NY) - Popular Jewish Rock band Blue Fringe is set to release its third CD this December 2006.
Arranged, written, and recorded over the course of several months, "The Whole World Lit Up," Blue Fringe's highly anticipated third album, features a ten song collection of innovative approaches to traditional Jewish tunes. Weaving familiar melodies with original lyrics about a range of contemporary topics ranging from the ongoing crisis in Israel to the Jewish response of prayer to 9/11, the album infuses new perspective into ancient liturgy. The album also features guest performances from acclaimed musicians C Lanzbom (Soulfarm) and Yehuda Solomon (Moshav Band).
With over 20,000 CD's sold independently between their first two albums, "My Awakening" and "70 Faces," sold-out shows across the country, and a live energy that brings audiences to their feet, the four members of Blue Fringe have established themselves as the benchmark for success in the Jewish music industry. Comprised of lead singer Dov Rosenblatt, guitarist Avi Hoffman, drummer Danny Zwillenberg, and bassist Hayyim Danzig, the twenty-somethings of Blue Fringe have toured the United States, Israel, Australia, South Africa, and the United Kingdom.
Typical of the critical praise the band has received for its innovative sound, Jewsweek magazine wrote: "Amidst the trumpets and artificial string sections of popular Jewish music today, Blue Fringe has emerged with a fresh, alternative sound, which has wooed audiences from all walks of Jewish life."
