Major League Baseball’s Mike Piazza, Jeff Suppan, Jack McKeon, Mike Sweeney, David Eckstein and Rich Donnelly lead the line-up in this All-Star baseball sports special.
Discussing how their faith has shaped their Major League careers, these superstars of America’s favorite pastime speak frankly about family, faith, sacrifice, leadership, humility and the many virtues and spiritual lessons they have learned from the game.
Shot in high-definition video and featuring thrilling game highlights from Major League Baseball Productions and music from legendary recording artist Bob Dylan, Champions of Faith is an emotionally powerful, action-packed glimpse into the lives and personal faith of the nation’s most popular sports heroes. Other players, coaches and managers featured in the film include: Tom Glavine, Craig Biggio, Sean Casey, Pudge Rodriquez, Jim Leyland, Mike Scioscia, Juan Pierre, Mark Prior, Ozzie Guillen, A.J. Pierzynski, Lance Berkman, Chris Speier, Roberto Beltran, Sandy Alomar and many more.
Additional features include music from Grammy Award-winning Christian band Third Day. “Champions of Faith – Baseball Edition” is scheduled for DVD release at the start of the 2007 Major League Baseball season.
